GAS FLOWING THE HEAD
I strongly believe: let the engine breathe, the more the merrier. Gas flowing the head helps (a lot!). The increased gas flow at higher RPM can be adjusted by increased fuel, which results in more power. Eliminate other restrictions in the airway, such as: sharp corners in air ducts, carburetor, and Air filter. Can you enlarge the valves?

HOT CAM's
Easy! Talk to experts! Our experience with "hot" overlapping cam's is that they provide very bad idling and good power at higher rpm's. If you are planning to run your engine in the normal rpm range, its hardly worth it to fit a "hot" cam. A fuel injection, with the increased airflow at higher rpm's, may bring more power. A "hot" cam poses no problem for the fuel injection system. The reduced idle manifold pressure is accommodated.
